I started my military career in the Marine Corps as Artillery Operations, MOS 0844, in 3rd BN 11th Marines, stationed in Twentynine Palms, California. In 2001, after my four year tour on active duty I returned to Wisconsin and joined the Air National Guard’s 115th Fighter Wing based in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2004 I deployed overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2005 I was awarded a 7-Level experience in Munitions and appointed as a Munitions Inspector.
I have a large family, five sisters and three brothers. All the sisters were born first, then the boys. We lived all over southern Wisconsin growing up (Brown Deer, Waukesha, McFarland, Wisconsin Dells, Richland Center, Sauk City) and we all still live in Wisconsin, with the exception of my sister Noelle who moved to California, my sister Joy who lives in Arkansas and my little brother Nick who has taken up residence in Arizona.
