The Standards and Grudges blog is not without its own sense of humor. A comment by a former writer referred readers to The Flight of the Conchords television show that aired for a brief period of time and was considered by many critics to be an excellent example of what a true comedy should look like.

The show featured the comedic team of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, two guys from New Zealand that acted as well as played music. Following in the tradition of Tenacious D, the duo used a combination of music and straight comedy to provide viewers with a hilarious experience.
