Journalist Steven A. Stehling of the Standards and Grudges blog had a few words to say about the snowfall that occurred in late March of 2008. The media hyped up the severity of the blizzard and Stehling ventured another opinion that it was little to worry about. He said that the roads were actually passable and that the overall conditions were much better than storms that had occurred in past winters.

The main problem is that the 2008 storm was preceded by a series of warmer days, leading people to think that spring was coming soon. However, the abrupt appearance of the storm caught many of these people off guard.
