I’m pissed.
Why is it Governor Blanco gets a free pass from Congress, but everyone else so far has been criticized, squeezed and probed? Just because her state needs help right now doesn’t mean she shouldn’t have to answer questions about her performance. Ask her the hard questions. Get her on record, then, if appropriate, authorize the funding. Just because she’s an idiot, does not mean grants, loans and other financial support shouldn’t be offered to Louisiana. By no means hold back funding because she’s an idiot, just closely monitor the funds so she doesn’t abuse them. But to bring her in front of Congress and then not ask about the mistakes she made is nothing less than irresponsible.
Congress is playing Monopoly and I can guess what they’ll give her next.
